Therapy can offer a calm and confidential space to explore difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences, without judgement.
A calm, supportive space for you to be heard, understood, and accepted—just as you are.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You might be experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to explore what’s going on for you—at your own pace.
I’m Suzanne Genner, a Person Centred Counsellor based in Rotherham.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement. I aim to create a space where you can be yourself fully—without pressure, expectation, or the need to have everything figured out. I will meet you with warmth, empathy, and honesty, supporting you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels right for you.
Alongside my counselling work, I’ve also been involved in workshops and retreat spaces focused on healing, self-discovery, and personal growth—something I bring gently into the way I hold space for others.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be:
Feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed
Struggling with low mood or depression
Navigating relationship difficulties
Experiencing loss or bereavement
Lacking confidence or self-esteem
Feeling stuck or disconnected
Carrying emotional pain from the past
Wanting to understand yourself more deeply
My work is grounded in person centred counselling, which means I trust that you already hold the capacity for growth and change within you.
My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you and begin to make sense of your experiences.
I work with:
Together, we create a space where you can feel safe enough to explore, reflect, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
WORKSHOPS
As well as one-to-one counselling, I have also been involved in workshops and retreat experiences
that offer a deeper space for reflection, healing, and personal growth. These spaces can be powerful for those who feel ready to explore themselves in a more immersive and supportive environment.
If this is something you’re interested in, feel free to ask—I’m always happy to share what’s currently available.
It’s a gentle, non-directive approach to therapy where you are at the centre of the process. I won’t lead or direct you—instead, I support you in exploring your own thoughts and feelings in a safe and accepting space
Rather than giving advice, I help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make the choices that feel right for you.
Counselling can support a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, grief, stress, relationship challenges, and low self-worth.
Taking that first step can feel difficult—but you don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re looking for a calm, supportive space to talk and be heard, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re ready to begin counselling or just have a question, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
